Frequently Asked Questions

What all is included with a booking?

All of the wedding packages I offer are different, but I include an engagement session with every package. That allows us to get to know each other and for you to get comfortable in front of my camera.

How long do you photograph(shoot?) on wedding day?

I believe each wedding is unique, and the photos tell the story. I never set a time limit to tell the story. I typically capture the bride getting her hair and make up done and stay until first dances. Once I feel like I’ve told the story of the day, I’ll head out. And of course if there is a sparkler exit that we discuss ahead of time, I’ll stay to catch you saying goodbye as the sparks fly!

How do you deliver finished weddings?

I use an online gallery called Smugmug. I have found that using this gallery is the easiest way to deliver weddings once they are finished. I curate a gallery of photos to tell the story of your special day on their platform which allows you to share the gallery with friends and family, download any photo you’d like, and buy prints directly from the gallery.

How long until we get to see our photos?

I tell all my clients they should expect their photos in 6-8 weeks. This allows time for culling, editing, and uploading. Does it always take that long? No, but it’s even sweeter when you get them back sooner!

Do you use second shooters?

I have packages with an option for a second shooter because I love having another person there to grab angles I’m not able to get and it’s nice to have another person to be readily available if the bride and groom happen to get ready at the same time. That being said I have many years of experience as a solo shooter, so if you don’t opt to have me and my partner in crime you are still in excellent hands.

How many photos do you deliver?

Typically 450-600 edited photos. The range accounts for the fact that every wedding is uniquely different. The package you go with will also change the deliverable amount.

Do you have insurance and back up gear?

Yes and yes! I do have insurance which some venues now require for photographers. As far as back up equipment, I always travel with two of the same set up, so if something happens to one camera I’ll have another!

Do you travel for weddings?

Since I started shooting weddings I’ve never been limited to one area. I’ve captured weddings in 15+ states and three countries. It’s never out of the question for me to travel for a wedding!
